Well, summer has given me the opportunity to fiddle with a couple different photo programs to figure out how to reduce the pixel size of the pictures I took in June at the 11th Annual Road Rocket Rumble in Indianapolis. I'm happy to say, that this afternoon, I figured it out! HA! I also figured out how to tag my pictures with a cool little watermark label in the corner. That way...if someone copies a picture and reuses it somewhere else on the internet...at least it will draw some folks back to this site.
Now that it isn't going to take me all morning to upload a handful of pictures...I will be working over the next few days to try to get caught up on uploading picture files to this site. I'm glad I finally figured it out...'cause my summer vacation will be ending in a couple of weeks.

Man, I love this event! I'm slowly working into getting to take in more and more of the show. The past two years, I've taken the day off on Friday and driven the daily driver down to the show with my oldest son. This year, I took Friday off and drove the Nifty Fifty down. It was great to actually be a participant and not just a spectator. I also got one of my club buddies to set up in the vendor area all weekend and another club buddy to attend the show on Saturday.
Eventually, it would be cool to get some club members to drive together to the show, and either take it in all day on Saturday, OR...even go down Friday and spend the night at an area motel, and then take Saturday's events in as well. LOTS and LOTS of good live music on Friday night and all day Saturday.
I've seen this radically chopped Falcon several times in the last year or so. It's been kind of cool to watch the work as it has progressed.
Thought this truck's door art was pretty funny. More pictures of this truck, as well as lots more from the Rumble tomorrow!

More from the Rumble
Man...it's so cool to think that all of these vehicles are within driving distance of Indianapolis. I wonder what it would take to get a few more of these folks to our Wheels for Williams charity event?
More from the Rumble tomorrow!

More Kool from the Indy Road Rocket Rumble
I remember seeing this car last winter at the Indy World of Wheels. It's a custom "El Camino"-like vehicle built from a Delta 88.
The Rumble is a 3 day event. The Road Rockets take over the Clarion Waterfront Hotel in Indianapolis. If you want a room for the event, you better make your reservations a year in advance.

And It Begins....2010 Road Rocket Rumble
Well, here they are! I had the opportunity to attend the Road Rocket Rumble again this year, but as an added bonus...I took the Nifty Fifty for the first time!!!! This has become one of my favorite shows, and definitely my favorite show in June! The Rumble is hosted by the Indianapolis Road Rockets, and let me tell you, it's more than a car show, it is truly an EVENT!
The great news for you, the reader, is that I took a couple hundred pictures. The bad news for me, the blogger, is that my kids had messed with my camera before I went and changed the picture setting. Therefore the picture have a MUCH larger megapixel than the pictures I normally upload. Therefore, it's taking me MUCH longer to upload them to the site. Therefore, I will probably only load 5 or 6 a day, which means this set of pictures will last for quiet a while.
I had posted pictures of this little Ford from the first time I saw it, at the Goodguys in Indianapolis. It was great to get to spend some more time looking it over.
LOTS more from the 11th annual Rumble in the weeks ahead!

Last Post from Troy, Ohio
My father seems to do a better job of taking multiple pictures of the same vehicle than I do. Love this close up of the Desoto Fire Flite valve covers!
(editor's note: I like the engraved plaques on the valve covers....just in case you weren't sure! hahahaha)

Can someone please get this old girl some water? Looks like she's starting to prune!
Another cool picture of another cool mill.
Another big "Suede and Chrome" THANK YOU to my father for taking some great pictures!
