Last of the Pictures from Fall Classic 2009

It's hard to believe another Rolling 50's Fall Classic has come and gone. With over 675 cars and trucks in attendance, this was the biggest Fall Classic to date. One of the guys in my car club has a Studebaker pickup around the year of this one. Everytime I see one at a show, I make sure I get a snapshot of it for him.

The cool pinstriped gas flap below was on the cool Ford above.

This cool silver Hudson pickup truck pulled in toward the end of the evening. Since my oldest son is "into" flamethrowers, I had to snap the picture below for him.

Any so with the end of pictures from Greenville, so brings the end of September. Come back to Suede and Chrome tomorrow, as I plan to start posting pictures I took at the Rebel Run in Lima, Ohio.

More from Rolling '50s Fall Classic, Greenville, Ohio

Wow, the last month or so has been filled with some really LARGE car shows in the Midwest United States. I'm still posting pictures from Greenville, Ohio and have pictures from a couple of other BIG events waiting in the wings. Hopefully, by the end of this week, I will have posted all of the pics I took at the Rolling 50s Fall Classic and will have a good start on pictures from the Rebel Run in Lima, Ohio. Hope you enjoy them.

Bucketload from Greenville 2009

Thought I'd try to SQUEEZE (editors note: Wow...when I typed "squeeze" I didn't mean literally! Sorry for the jumbled pictures if you viewed this post this morning. The problem should be fixed now.) a few more pictures into today's post. Lots of good stuff still waiting patiently on my hard drive. It's hard to believe this many sik rides showed up for a show in little ol' Greenville, Ohio. (side note: Greenville is the site of the signing of the Treaty of Greenville, and the birthplace of Annie Oakley a.k.a. Little Miss Sureshot....google 'em, ya might learn something interesting.)

Over 675 cars and trucks! Realize due to the nature of this blog, I didn't even take many pictures of all the cool 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and newer stuff that was at the show.

More cool stuff from Greenville, OH Show

Another car that belongs to someone I know. Chris Bunch lives in Arcanum, Ohio and has a Body Shop on the edge of town. I had a couple of his daughters in school when I taught at the high school there. He has had this yellow '57 Chevrolet for several years.

This little rat was listed on Craigslist a couple of weeks ago. Looks like the owner didn't move it.

We talked with the owner of this little MG. Guess he has two more at home. All three have an aluminum block v8 under the hood. Pretty kool. this one was for sale. It could have found a new home for $9500.

This SWEEEET Camaro belongs to a fellow Hubhead. The car is absolutely kool and looks great with the tire and wheel combo.

More From the Rolling 50's Fall Classic

Still posting from my trip to Greenville, Ohio a few weekends ago.

This orange sedan was parked on a cross street off of Broadway. You can see the entrance to a couple of great places to eat in "The Place". The Place housed a 3 floor department store during it's "heyday", now it housed Broadway Joe's (a cool coffee shop), The Italian Restuarant (AWESOME food), and the Double M Deli. Another great place to eat in Greenville, Ohio is across the street (directly behind me when I took this picture), The Bistro Off Broadway has some great food and kool decor.

A friend of mine who happens to be the Arcanum Chief of Police owns this Ford. He originally bought it with the intent of turning it into a "Mayberry Cruiser". However, I think his wife has nixed that idea. He does plan to restore it. Still looks pretty kool as is Dan!

How about a couple of kool Willy's gassers?

This Cadillac was absolutely beautiful.

This guy obviously has plenty of $$$ to spend. Sweet Corvette, Awesome Chevy Cameo pickup w/ nice aluminum trailer....and look what was in the truck bed!

Rolling 50's Post #3

Amazing story on this one! Unrestored, 40,000 original miles, original paint, original interior.

It's hard to beat the "coolness" of a Olds Rocket.

I didn't realize til after the show that this sweet Ford with "real flame" graphics belongs to a Hubgarage buddy of mine.

How many times have you seen a Chrysler Aeroflow in your lifetime?

Still lots more to come in the coming days!
