Hillcroft Post #4

I've seen these 2 Nash Metropolitians at other shows in the area. Always seem to be together.

It was the first time I've seen this cool Cadillac at an area show. Hope to see it again.

Hillcroft Post #3

Lots of cool "eye-candy" no matter what your tastes at the 2nd annual Hillcroft Benefit Car show.

The Twisted Wrenches had about a dozen or so cars at the show. They were the host club. They are in their 2nd year of existence as a car club and are based out of Muncie, Indiana.

2nd Annual Hillcroft Car show

Lots of cool stuff to look at at this year's Hillcroft Car Show. The Chevrolets FAR outweighed the number of any other make at this year's show....and although I didn't plan it that way, every car pictured today wears a bowtie.

Come back tomorrow for still more from the 2nd Annual Hillcroft Show.

2011 Hillcroft Car Show Post #1

I dusted off the Nifty50 for this event. It was the first "outing" of 2011 for me. It was great to get her back out on the road. It was warm enough to drive with the window down and my elbow out! Just the way it should be.

Well, the rains held off for the 2nd annual Hillcroft Car Show hosted by the Twisted Wrenches. The event is a charity show that benefits the work of the Hillcroft Center in Muncie, Indiana. Hillcroft works with mentally and physically challenged individuals in Delaware County, Indiana. They provide a variety of services...everything from Special Olympic opportunities, job coaching, and employment.

The Twisted Wrenches once again put on a great event. Approximately 35 vehicles and their owners along with lots of spectators enjoyed a DJ, door prizes, raffle opportunities, BBQ pork, and an Easter egg hunt for the kids.

Lot more from the Hillcroft Car Show in the days ahead.

Final Pictures from Billetproof

Last group of photographs from Greg's coverage of the 2011 Billetproof show in Gainsville, Florida. Thanks again Greg for allowing me to post them on Suede and Chrome.

Well, we've been VERY busy around the Suede and Chrome headquarters in recent weeks. LOTS and LOTS of final preparations for our 2nd Annual Wheels for Williams charity event. I'm hoping that many Suede and Chrome readers can make it out to the show. If you can't make it, but are still interested in donating to a very worthwhile cause, you may do so online by following this link: 2nd Annual Wheels for Williams online donations

I am hoping to attend another charity car show this weekend in Muncie, Indiana. The Twisted Wrenches car club will be hosting a show on Saturday, April 23rd at the Muncie Hillcroft Center on Streeter Street. The Hillcroft Center provides services to mentally disabled adults in Delaware County, Indiana. The forecast is calling for a good chance of scattered showers throughout the day on Saturday, lets hope they stay away until late afternoon.
