More from Richmond Indoor Show

Loads and loads of cool cars turned out for this indoor event. This Chevrolet Impala was very nice.

How about a kool looking bullet nosed Studebaker?

Still more from Richmond tomorrow. The Righteous Rodders are gearing up to head to Brownsburg, Indiana this weekend to the 7th Annual Blanket Run, sponsored by GodSpeed Rides. The run benefits the homeless of Indianapolis. We are hoping to have our new club jackets from Bill Winger @ DaddyKatz in Dayton, Ohio by then. If you are going to the Run...look us up!

2009 Vintage Wheels Indoor Show in Richmond, Indiana Post #1

Well, I've lost track of the number of years I've been going over to the Wayne County Fairgrounds in Richmond, Indiana for the Vintage Wheels Indoor Show. It's the "last hoorah" around this part of the Midwestern United States, and for me signifies the end of "car season".

The cool thing about this show is that A LOT of guys drive there cars to the show (in fact...I drove the Nifty Fifty over this year). So you get to see some great cars in the parking area before you even pay to get inside.

It's my understanding that the cars on the side are there "by invitation" of the car club that hosts the show. The cost if $5 to get in, but the Tom Raper building is usually packed tight with cool vehicles...like this cool '32 Ford roadster.

Here are a few more pictures of cars that were outside. Many of them were area guys that drove to the show. However some of them belong to the club that hosts the show. They park all of their cars right outside the door of the Tom Raper building so you can check them out as you go in. Lots more pictures to come from inside the Tom Raper building at the Wayne County Fairgrounds. Thanks for stopping by. See you again tomorrow.

Last Pictures from Hunnert!

Well, here are the last pictures from Hunnert...hopefully not the last I'll ever take there, just the last from this year's event. All of today's pictures were taken from inside of my car while we waited to get out of the fairgrounds.

Just like when we entered the show, we had to wait in a traffic jam to exit the event. By this time of day, they had the Illinois State Police helping direct traffic.

On the way home, I tried to have my wife take a picture of a cool 1955 Chevy gasser that we were passing. Unfortunately, when I got home and looked at the pictures....this was all she got. lol

Although the Hunnert pictures have all been posted...don't fret. Tomorrow I will begin posting pictures from an annual event at the Richmond, Indiana fairgrounds...see you tomorrow.

Nearing the end of 2009 Hunnert Pictures

Looking through my folder, I think I may have enough pictures for tomorrow, then I'll start posting some new pictures taken at a show in Richmond, Indiana a few weeks ago.

I'm not sure where to begin with this one...if memory serves me, I think I've seen this car throw flames from those upturned headers!

How about a cool Henry J?

Someone was taking home a kool Ford Tudor body. This thing will make a great lookin' rod!

2009 Pile Up Pics Winding Down

Hope everyone is having a HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I'm certainly thankful for my family and friends, and the Nifty Fifty! Hard to believe that just like these posts from the 2009 Hunnert Car Pile Up, the month of November, and 2009 for that matter, is winding down. Posted some pretty interesting pics today including a couple of cap guns used as grille enhancements, and a hot-rodded Morris Minor. Have a GREAT day...see you back again tomorrow.

Kustom Kool @ Hunnert...

O.k...I get ribbed now and then from other guys in our car club for liking traditional hot rods and rat rods. But hey...not every car I enjoy looks unfinished. Check out some of the pictures I've uploaded today. The picture above is a "barn find". It's a famous custom from the '50s, just as it was found...kool.

And who can argue that Voodoo Larry does produce some of the koolest looking customs around?

How about this wicked paint and flame job? VERY kool! The little blue rod pictured below is called "Left Over". If member serves me right, it was featured in an issue of Hometown Hotrods. The owner built it from parts he had left over from previous projects.

And how about the kool flame licks on this red 1960 Impala? Love the lake pipes and chrome reverse wheels too.

Hangin' w/ the Voodoo Kings @ Hunnert Car Pile Up

I'm always interested in "fresh" & unique paint schemes. This '55 Chevy was VERY kool. Flat red w/ white scallops and a silver metalflake top.

The cold temperatures didn't stop the Vood Kings from showing up in full force. Here is a picture of my friend Rocky and Voodoo Larry. Is the picture below a foretaste of Voodoo Larry's next project!?!?

Piling Up the Pics from the Pile Up...

This cool scalloped El Camino sat right beside my friend Rocky's Cadillac.

Well, can't say I really like the inverted headers...but it is definitely unique.

I still have lots of pictures from the 2009 Pile Up, plus pictures from other events "in waiting"...come back again tomorrow for more!
