Last Post from Richmond Show...

Well, I've reached the end of another photo set...and with it, the end to another year of hotrodding and "anything kool" here at Suede and Chrome. While I post the last pictures from the 2010 Vintage Wheels indoor show in Richmond, Indiana, I'd like to thank all of the Suede and Chrome readers for making 2010 a great year. Readership is at it's highest, and I've met a lot of new friends along the way. 2010 also saw an increase in Suede and Chrome swag sales and our first major sponsor of the website: Steele Rubber Products.
This Whizzer was auctioned off at the show with all proceeds being donated to charity.
I really liked this little roadster pickup truck. This thing was kool!
As we enter into a new year, I'd like to wish every Suede and Chrome reader a
I'm looking forward to bringing you more photos from the upcoming shows in 2011.

Still More From Richmond, IN

Man, this Chevy pickup was kool! It was built very similar to the "vision" I had for the '72 Chevy shortbed I had before I bought the '50 Chevy. Flat black paint, white walls, low stance, and white dash. The mexican blanket interior and kool pinstriped door panels really "finish" the look. I dig the metal flake on the roof of the cab too.
I will officially post the last of the pictures from this album as we finish 2010 tomorrow. But don't worry. After we left the Vintage Wheels show, the Righteous Rodders headed East on I-70 to Kettering, Ohio for the 2010 DaddyKatz Bicycle and Minibike Show. My friend, Bill Winger always has something kool going on, and we definitely didn't want to miss out.

Man, I'm so glad I found the rest of the pictures from Richmond. Lots of cool stuff in today's post, including a V8 motorcycle and this ultra-kool Jeep cabover pickup truck. Lots more from Richmond in the next couple of days, make sure you come back tomorrow.

More from Vintage Wheels Show

Thought this was going to be the last post from the Richmond show, but as I was going through my photograph files, I found several more photographs. Looks like this set WILL take us through the New Year after all!

Richmond 2010 Post #3

Well, it looks like I may be finishing this photo set a little ahead of schedule. Tomorrow, I'll finish the Vintage Wheels Indoor Show set, but then I will start posting from a second event we attended on the same day. Make sure you come back to Suede and Chrome over the next few days to see what kool stuff I have in store.

Vintage Wheels Post #2

One of my favorite cars to see over the past couple of years at area shows is Gail Fairchild's 1936 Ford custom coupe. The car is ultra cool with it's checkerboard firewall, custom lakepipes and custom fabricated fender skirts. To learn more about this car, check out the feature coverage in the February 2011 issue of Street Rodder.
Still more to post from the Richmond, Indiana show. Come back tomorrow to see more!

One of the first signs of the end of the cruise-in season and the beginning of fall is the annual Vintage Wheels indoor show held in the Tom Raper building at the Wayne County Fairgrounds in Richmond, Indiana. This has become an annual event for the Righteous Rodders to attend. It has also become an annual event for our club brother Jim and his family to set up a vendor booth for his Chrome plating business.
The event is typically held the first weekend in November and always has a nice variety of classics, hotrods, and even a few customs and late model vehicles. Our friend CWB is usually the DJ at the event and is always entertaining the crowd with his wit and music.

The photo set from this event will more than likely finish out the year, but don't worry, I've still got a few more photo albums up my sleeve waiting to start 2011.
