Heading Home from the Blanket Run: The Paddock

Well, on our way home from the Blanket Run, we decided that we would stop by the Paddock in Knightstown, Indiana.

The Paddock has an incredible showroom/store. Love the checkerboard tile and the Muscle cars!

Taken directly from the "about us" page of the Paddock website:

"The Paddock has been a mainstay in muscle car restoration for over 40 years. In 1965 the founder of the company, Jim O’Neil, started in a small shop in Knightstown, Indiana restoring muscle cars. His passion for racing and muscle cars led The Paddock in a new direction and Mustang restoration parts became the focus. In 1979, Jim and his wife, Sarah, incorporated The Paddock and started manufacturing Mustang steel patch panels. The first small Mustang catalog was printed and by word of mouth the company started to grow. In 1980, the first Camaro catalog was printed. That same year Wes Watts came to work for Jim at The Paddock leaving the position as parts manager for the local Chevrolet dealership. As the customer base grew, request for more parts and more car types grew as well. Outgrowing the facility, The Paddock moved to a bigger location on Main Street.

Firebird, GTO, Chevelle, Nova, Cutlass, Impala and other catalogs were gradually added to the muscle car line. Jim and Wes shared the same love for muscle cars and their visions for the future of the company meshed so well that they became partners in 1991.In 1998, Jim and Sarah made the decision to pursue other outside interests and The Paddock became wholly owned by Wes Watts along with his wife, Tammy and daughter, Jennifer. Starting to again experience growing pains but wanting to stay in the small community of Knightstown, IN, the current facility was built just outside of town on SR 109 in 2001."
