Well, the day didn't work out exactly as planned, but my oldest son and I did make it down to the Daddy Katz Katzmas Party today. The party started at noon, and we had originally planned to be there when it started. Heck...I even gave some thought to drive Ol' Blue through the 2 hour trip.
However, last evening my two year old got sick and was running a slight fever this morning. We had to rearrange the day, to "recoordinate" our plans. So...the day didn't start as planned, but the weather was decent for this time of year in the Midwest (32 degrees) with no precipitation.
We left home around 1:15 and made it to Bill's place sometime after 3:00. When we arrived, the party was in full swing. Bill provided pizza and cola for everyone, and there were 5 or 6 pinstripers "working there magic" in the backroom of his place. The artists were painting whatever anyone brought them. I saw stripes being laid down on bowling pins, surfboards, German helmets, and even toilet seats!
We had a great time! It was great to get to put some faces with "Hubheads" from hubgarage.com. It was also good to hear that a few of them are avid readers of this blog! Bill's store is absolutely amazing...filled with vintage clothing, tiki artifacts, kustom kulture wear and gear, etc.
