Man This is Cool!

Wow! Those of you who have been reading Suede and Chrome since the beginning know that I've always had this "strange" attract to Divco milk trucks and International Metros. I am a middle school principal, and I'm always trying to think of creative ways to motivate our "unmotivated" students.

One thing I would love to do is find a cool little delivery truck or antique bus and turn it into a little SMHR (student moving hot rod). I would love to reward some of our At-Risk students with trips to cruise ins and car shows if they meet the goals of their academic and/or behavior plans.

That's why I will occasionally surf eBay for milk trucks, Divcos, metros, buses, and even old Suburbans and Travelalls. This one is absolutely cool (and would look great parked beside Ol' Blue!)

p.s....I also do a monthly Student of the Month program were 1 male and 1 female student from each grade level (6th, 7th and 8th) are nominated by their teachers. These kids are treated to a lunch with the principal at the local Pizza Hut buffet. Wouldn't they look cool arriving in one of these? Or maybe an old limo?
