Rocky Is At It Again!

Well, the friend that I bought my '50 Chevy off of is at it again. He currently has 2 pretty cool vehicles listed on eBay for sale.
The first is this 1949 Studebaker 1/2 ton pickup truck: 1974 Camaro front clip w/power steering and disc brakes, 1974 Camaro rear end w/ drum brakes and 1974 Camaro master cylinder, 1973 Pontiac 455 engine w/1973 turbo trans and Hurst shifter, 1974 Chevy tilt column, Auto Meter gauges, New American wiring kit installed, Chevy s-10 bench seat, 58 Chevy tail lights, New 14" Dayton radials w/57 Plymouth caps, Cherry Bomb mufflers, there is some nostalgic rust on the bottom of the doors and sides of the bed.

Body Is Channeled 4"in Front and 0 in Rear, Has 1950 Ford Hood Ornament for lifting Trunk Lid, 1950 Pontiac Tail Lights, 1952 Chevy Bumper Guard for Liscense Plate Surround. Grill is made from 1935 Ford Grill with pieces from 1922 Overland and 1938 Ford Hood, 1929 Chevy Headlights, 1936 Dodge Truck Wheels with Firestone Big and Littles w/White walls, Interior of Body and Trunk are fully Insulated, New 2x3Tube Frame, New Pete and Jakes 4" Drop I Beam Axle, New 11"Disc Brakes in front, Rebuilt Drums in Rear, New Vega Steering Gear, 8" Ford Rear End W/Coil Overs, Hair Pin Radius Rods Front and Rear, Wilwood Master Cylinder, 1952 Chevy Steering Column w/Borgenson Joints, Rebuilt 1973 Chevy 305 Motor w/ RV Cam, Bored .30 Over, Flow Master Mufflers and New Block Hugger Headers, New Mustang Radiator, Rebuilt 350 Turbo, New Fuel and Brake Lines, New 12 Gallon RCI Aluminum Gas Tank, Lincoln Valve Covers and Air Breather. New Custom Steering Wheel, New Pioneer Radio, New Interior, Seat, New Heater for those cold mornings and Cool evenings, Bear Claw Latches, Lokar Gas Pedal and Carb Linkage. Bottom of Car is as Clean and nice as the Interior.

The bottom line is that either would make a GREAT cruiser! I wonder if he would consider a trade for a 1950 Chevrolet? :) (just kidding...I love my car!) I have to admit though, that Ford WOULD look good sitting beside Ol' Blue!
Check 'em out, bid high, and tell him Scruffy sent ya!

  1. No way, man. No swap for 50 Chevy. It is too cool! I am glad you said you wouldn't do it. Come on everyone, tell hime to never part with his '50. The rat rods are quite neat, though. Maybe the two could share a garage. Thanks for sharing the pics and story. Mustang Mike
