The Rains Held Off!

Well, the weather forecast was not a good one for the 2nd annual Special Cars for Special Kids car show. However, everyone was happy that the rains held off while the show was in progress. It was pretty cool to see one of our club member's old T-bucket at the show. Donny sold this little purple bucket last summer. Looks like the new owner has done a few things to it to "make it his own."
The show is put on by a former student (and wrestler) of mine. Chad Sewell and his wife, Shelly, put on the show to raise money for a Ball State University program called "The Prism Project". The program works with special needs children in the Delaware County area.

Chad said even though the weather may have scared a few car owners away, he still had 6 more cars attending this year compared to last year.
Lots of variety at this year's show. Classics, Muscle cars, pickup trucks, and a couple of imports graced the BLD 50's Cafe's parking lot and the neighboring lot.

Lots more pictures of this event in the days to come, including the Nifty Fifty's reunion with some OLD friends. Come back tomorrow for more!
