Another Round from Detroit 2010

I'm very partial to '50 Chevrolets...and this woody wagon was absolutely incredible.
This little woody Estate Wagon pedal car was being given away to one lucky subscriber at one of the vendor booths.
The other day, I posted a couple of pictures of a "fantasy Trans Am". It wasn't the only example at the show. This Lingenfelter Trans Am Concept reminds me of the early '70s Trans Am one of my buddies had in high school.
Any time I see a retractable hardtop....it reminds me of the opening of the TV show "Happy Days". Which by the way...reminds me that Henry Winkler a.k.a. "The Fonz" was at this year's Autorama, signing autographs and greeting fans.

Somebody HELP me!

I've seen this car the last two years and haven't been able to locate the owner. There isn't anything to "special" about it EXCEPT these cool clear arylic hubcaps!

I've searched eBay several times looking for a set. I've also tried google to find information....NO LUCK!

Is there anyone out there that can tell me more information on these cool hubcaps?!?! They appear to go clear to the inner edge of the rim lip. It looks like there is a rubber seal that fits round the hubcaps as well. HELP! I'm interested!

Still More From the Motor City

I'm a sucker for a tricked-out Cadillac!

This chopper was upstairs. Thought it had a pretty interesting custom paint scheme.

This Chrysler was just wicked.

Took this one for my 23-month old. He thinks Lightning McQueen is pretty cool.

Still having trouble uploading photographs. At any rate, my wife, son and I worked our way through 1/2 of the main level of the 2008 Detroit Autorama before my curiosity got the best of me. "Hey", I said to my wife, "Since we are right here by the escalator, let's go downstairs to see the traditional hot rods and rat rods now and then we can come up and see the other half of the upstairs."

This truck was one of my favorites of the day.

This was a nice HEMI powered coupe.

So, we got on each end of the stroller and took "junior" for a ride on the escalator. What followed was truly a "religious experience"....Watch my next blog post for pictures and details!
