Beatersville 2009 Post #9

Avid readers of Suede and Chrome are probably sick of hearing me say this, "But done tastefully, Scallops are freakin' kool!"
Saw this little number in Indianapolis a few months back at the World of Wheels show. I believe I overheard the owner tell someone that the color is a Dodge Viper color called "Rattlesnake green"....pretty kool!
I think someone must have bumped into me as I was taking this one....a little out of focus, but still a kool ride.

While I Wasn't Lookin'.....

WOW!!!! Some time this morning the Suede and Chrome "hit counter" passed 40,000 views! That's incredible!!! What started out as a fun way to post a few car pictures for my family and friends has become so much more!
Whether you are a first timer or a daily reader of Suede and Chrome...I justed wanted to say, "THANK YOU" for your support. As long as Blogger gives me the space, I'll keep posting pictures and commentary. Have a GREAT week! I've got more pictures from Beatersville, as well as some posts from a local event coming in the weeks ahead.

Beatersville 2009 Post #8

Still more pictures from the 2009 Beatersville Show in Louisville, KY
I took this pic for my wife who really liked the Coral paint on this VW. And while I'm talking about her...I'd like to give a little public "shout out" (nothing more public than the WORLD WIDE WEB!) to my wife for agreeing to go to the show with me. She's not a big "fan" of shows, although she does like the shoes, custom purses, and leopard print that seems to be a part of the whole kustom kulture, rust queen thing. She was a real "trooper"....didn't complain or act like she wasn't enjoying herself. Heck...she even had her manicurist give her a custom (flamed) nail job before we left! Gotta admit, suprising me with bright red nails with yellow scalloped flames was pretty kool!
