2016 Brookville Roadster Open House Post #1

It is always a trip well worth it when you can drive east across the state line to Brookville, Ohio to the Brookville Roadster Open House. This was the 7th year for the open house, and we have attended at least 2 or 3 previous events. Although the weather forecast was not promising, the fact that legendary car designer, TV personality, and all-around nice guy: Chip Foose was going to be at the event caused the show to be larger than ever.

The Nifty50 is in need of a few tweeks before being ready for the hour and a 1/2 trip from the Suede and Chrome Headquarters to Brookville, Ohio, so the decision was made to drive the Java Bean instead. Social media made it possible for us to hook up with a large group of Indiana Hotrodders (which also included a few cars from Illinois) for a great all-you-can eat breakfast at the Iron Skillet in New Paris, Ohio before forming a hot rod caravan that took Historic National Trail (US 40) on over to Brookville. A special thanks to "convoy" organizer Wayne Hawk for the invite!

When we arrived, they had a special area for our caravan, and we spent the day enjoying the day hanging out with other gearheads, checking out all the beautiful vehicles, and touring the Brookville Roadster Facilities. I have lots more photos that I will be posting in the days to come.
