This year's Beatersville event was even larger than last year. With the cooperation of the city of Louisville, additional streets were blocked off to allow more area for event vehicles.

Beatersville 2012 Post #2
WOW! What a crazy ride this summer has been....issues with connectivity, a power surge that took out my home computer, and an expired expiration date on the credit card used to secure my web address in the middle of all of it, actually took this site offline for a while. Hopefully, loyal followers will check back to see that I've FINALLY got everything worked out and back online.
Today, I thought I'd post some more pictures from this year's Beatersville show.....ENJOY!

Beatersville 2012
Wow....it has already been a crazy summer...July 2012 in the Midwest United States has been blistering without much rain. Crops are starting to wilt and lawns are brown. Today we are under another heat advisory with the heat index reaching near 100 degrees. We've been under a "no burn" ordinance for some time, and now we can be fined if we water our lawns.
Nonetheless, being too hot to work in the garage on the Nifty50 this afternoon has given me another opportunity to work on making some posts to this site. It's really hard to believe that it has been almost 2 months since we made what has become our annual trek to the Beatersville event in Louisville over Memorial Day weekend.
This show is on my list of "favorite events", and now that my brother and his family live in nearby Elizabethtown, KY, it makes a great place to meet up with my brother.
