More from the Sketch Pad

Because Taz's place is north of Cincinnati, Ohio. I decided not to drive the Nifty Fifty, but to take a scenic drive through Liberty, Indiana and Oxford, Ohio. We stayed off the Interstate, and instead enjoyed the rural roads of Southeastern Indiana and Southwestern Ohio. My wife always tells me I've got some "picker" in me, 'cause I always enjoy looking behind old barns and through the windows of old buildings as we drive by. Heck, you never know where the next "barn find" may be. hahaha

Rat Rod and Rust Queen Calendar Release Party!

I'm always up for a new adventure and attending an event that I've never attended before. So when my friend Joey "Taz" Henschen invited us down to his place (The Sketch Pad) for the Rat Rod and Rust Queen Calendar release party, we JUST had to go.
Taz specializes in kustom art, illustration, design, pinstriping, and screenprinting. He has been the owner and operator of The Sketch Pad since 2003.

Rat Rods and Rust Queens is a calendar that is produced annually in Kentucky. Photographed in vintage black and white, Rat Rods and Rust Queens calendars are perfect for any Motor Head. Photographer Josh McNally finds 12 of the finest cars and women annually and puts together a great looking calendar. You can check it out, along with other Rat Rod and Rust Queen products at: www.ratrodsandrustqueens.com

Last Post from the DKs Bike and Minibike Show.

No matter how many times I visit Bill Winger's place down in Kettering, Ohio, I always enjoy looking over his "toys". I'm diggin' the bed mods and the homemade zoomies on his Chevy pickup truck.

Wish I would have taken a picture of this cool little Schwinn from another angle. It had a VERY rare accessory, a baseball bat carrier mounted to the frame at the rear wheel.
